Johanna is a research assistant and PhD student at the Chair of Planning and Construction Economics/Real Estate at TU Berlin. Her research is about housing quality, demographic change, energy transition, inclusion, and sustainability in European and Sub-Saharan African cities. She did her Bachelor and Master at TU Darmstadt, and has spent a semester abroad in Lyon, France. She joined the (In)credible research conference team to raise awareness for the need of diverse research that includes experts from all parts of the world to promote more integrity in research.

Sophia is a early career researcher with a background in Cognitive Science and Artificial Intelligence (AI). Currently pursuing her PhD in Charité's Radiology Department, she focuses on advancing cancer management and diagnostics through AI and Machine Learning (ML). By applying ML to medical imaging and oncological questions, she hopes to develop diagnostic assistance tools that enable more accurate and efficient decisions and leverage the workload in hospitals. As a dedicated organizer, she is particularly existed to exchange knowledge about how AI can enhance diversity and inclusion in science.

Stephen is a second year PhD student at the Charité. His research is in the field of cancer precision medicine and focuses on liquid biopsy, specifically the capture and analysis of circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) from the blood of patients with advanced stage cancers. His PhD project is part of a national initiative (EXLIQUID) from the German Cancer Research Center/German Consortium for Translational Cancer Research (DKFZ/DKTK) to further the understanding and eventual application of liquid biopsy as a clinical tool to assist in patient treatment. The nationwide character of EXLIQUID means that Stephen is in constant contact with scientists at the other participating DKFZ/DKTK sites in order to achieve the necessary exchange of information and materials that this study requires. Stephen’s role in the planning committee focuses on speaker communication.

Velina Chavarro, MD is an advanced doctoral student at the Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin pursuing her PhD thesis on cognition and neuroimaging correlates in NMOSD at AG Paul under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Friedemann Paul. Dr. Chavarro intercalated a medical degree with her research work and has recently completed a Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Queensland, Brisbane Australia. She believes that international collaboration can advance neuroscience more efficiently and yield higher quality patient care locally and globally. Dr. Chavarro has a keen interest in understanding integrity and conflict of interest in both research and clinical practice. She says she became a clinical scientist first (in Berlin) and hopes to translate high caliber research into her future clinical practice.
