The Retreat at a Glance

In numerous workshops and lectures, the most important tools for passing the doctorate will be taught and space will be given to questions about the topic.

Cost-free offer for all doctoral candidates of all disciplines in the first six months of their doctoral studies.

Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, Technische Universität and Charité - Universitätsmedizin are pursuing the goal of improving the conditions of young researchers during their doctoral studies within the framework of the Berlin University Alliance. The cornerstone of this support is the qualification and mentoring as well as counseling services specifically for doctoral students.

The focus of this kick-off event is to network doctoral students as they get started and to introduce them to contact persons at the four institutions in addition to helpful information on content.

Facilitated by highly qualified trainers, a selection of important tools will be tested in small exercises and opportunities will be shown to deepen these across the institutions. Counseling, individual coaching, and a networking evening offer the opportunity to address individual challenges and engage in conversation with other doctoral researchers.

For this online event we use a conference software which allows you to inform yourself in detail about the whole programme and to decide which of the offerings you would like to participate in.

Participation is free of charge.

Please note that you need to create a user account at Dahlem Research School before registering; only afterwards it is possible to register for the retreat.
